1. Observation I had a metal washer, string and tape. I tied the string to the washer and then I taped it to the wall. 2. Hypothesis I thought that the smaller the string the less swings the pendulum would make. 3. Test When I did this test, I held the string at a 90 degree angle and let it swing for ten seconds. I counted how many swings it made. I did the test three times at different lengths. 4. Collect Data Length - 20.5 Test 1: 13 Test 2: 13 Test 3: 13 Average: 13 Length - 10 Test 1: 17 Test 2: 18 Test 3: 17 Average: 17.333 Length - 4 3/4 Test 1: 25 Test 2: 24 Test 3: 24 Average: 24.333 5. Results When I collected my results, I found that my results were the opposite of my hypothesis. The test results were the smaller the string the more swings it made. 1. Observations The things we used were one penny, eye-dropper and water. The penny was shiny. I used the heads side. 2. Hypothesis I thought it would hold 20 drops of water. 3. Test I dropped the water on the penny 5 times. 4. Gathering data My test runs were 21,23,9,21 and 15. 5. Results The average of the five results was 17. 8. |
